The Portmarnock Golf Club was founded in the year 1894 was founded on land belonging to the Jameson dynasty and was one of the best courses in the country from an early stage.
The modern Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Linkswas later replaced by Bernhard Langer designed and officially opened in 1995. Langer has expanded the resort with a new 18-hole course that makes optimum use of the natural dune landscape.
The square was recently Jameson Golf Links renamed to emphasize the historical links to the Jameson Dynastythe founders of the famous Irish whiskey brand.
The Portmarnock Hotel is located directly on the course and offers luxurious accommodation with breathtaking views of the Irish Sea. It offers fine dining, a spa area and direct access to the golf course.
